We are a shooting club on the Darling Downs in Queensland and offer the following disciplines:

Shotgun Sporting Clays
Pistol/Revolver/Silhouette
Blackpowder Pistol
Air Rifle

The Shooting Range is fully approved and registered with Queensland Weapons Licensing.
We are a standalone Club and not affiliated with any other organisation.

Welcome Notice

Welcome to the Clifton Benchrest Shooting Club.

Before a person discharges a weapon at the Laurie Bowe Rifle Range, the person must UPON ARRIVAL:

(A) If the person is a licensee, produce the person’s licence to a Range Officer at the Range desk.
(B) Enter details in the Range Use Register, located at the Office desk in the Clubhouse.
Visitors, members, and non-members must sign the range register upon arrival, even if you are not shooting.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE:

In the event of an emergency, everyone on the range is to make their way to the shotgun shaded area (Emergency Assembly Area) and await further instructions. The First Aid Kit is located next to the refrigerator in the Clubhouse.

RANGE HOURS:

Opening hours: 8am to 1pm. Range Officers can close the Range early at their discretion.
Extended hours for competition days.

FEES:

New Members:

Senior Membership: $80.00
Junior Membership: $35.00

Note: See the Application form for sliding scale fees applicable to the second half of the year.

Renewal Members:

Senior Membership: $70.00
Junior Membership: $30.00

Daily Range Fees vary depending on the discipline.

MONTHLY FUNCTIONS:

1st Sunday: Benchrest Rimfire/Centrefire Practice
2nd Saturday: Pistol Competition
2nd Sunday: Clay Target Shooting
3rd Sunday: Club Shoot Competition
- a.m.: Rimfire
- p.m.: Centrefire
4th Saturday: Pistol Competition
4th Sundays: Benchrest Rimfire/Centrefire Practice
5^th Saturdays in relevant months : Pistol Practice

FACILITIES:

The Clubhouse is available to all members for rest and refreshment during shooting sessions. Free Tea/Coffee. Cold soft drinks: $2.00/can, Water: $1.00.

Restroom facilities are available at the western end of the Clubhouse.

RULES:

Smoking only in designated areas.
Covered footwear must be worn.
Weapons must be handled under Range Officer guidance at all times.
No one may move forward of the firing line without Range Officer permission.
